Description

The Merida One-Forty 400 Dual Suspension Mountain Bike offers exceptional climbing and descending performance in a value-packed design with a new aluminum frame. It shares the same innovative geometry as higher-end models but is equipped with components that provide necessary performance without the high cost. Features include dropper posts on all models, an 11-speed Shimano drivetrain, and reliable suspension from Suntour and RockShox. Designed for challenging trails, it boasts a steep 80-degree seat angle, low front end, and bottom bracket for technical climbs, while a 65-degree head angle and longer reach ensure excellent descending capability. The new sizing system allows riders to choose frame reach independently of height, with progressive suspension for heavier riders. The bike also focuses on weight reduction and rolling speed for efficiency, and includes long travel dropper posts, internal cable routing, and a threaded bottom bracket.

HYDRO & TECHNOFORMING

A combined process of hydroforming and techno forming is used in the construction of the frame, the process involves negative moulds and a range of techniques to form complex shapes. Double pass welds are used to create a clean look to the frame at first glance you might be so impressed with the shape you'd be convinced it's carbon and not aluminium!

INTERNAL CABLE ROUTING

With internal cable routing you have the benefit of a modern clean look and the added benefit of preventing rust and fraying of your shift and brake cable, being internal also means your cables are protected while in storage or being transported on the car!
